Encouraged by a friend working as a welder in Canada, I learned that pursuing a welding career could make it easier to obtain permanent residency in Ontario. With that in mind, I began learning welding in Korea through a government-funded program.

It was something I had never imagined doing in my life, but I thought it was manageable. However, the physical demands of maintaining various positions for long periods, along with the pressure to master multiple techniques, started to weigh on me. After talking with classmates and other graduates, I eventually realized that welding wasn't something I wanted to pursue as a long-term career.

So, after completing two semesters, I decided to wrap things up with a Welding Certificate. That summer, I made the decision to finish the program quickly and move on.
